Picked up another Nail Polish

So I was at Ulta the other day and I went to there bargain section, where they have all their discounted makeup. I like to buy cheap makeup if I’m trying out a new color or something. So I was sifting through the bins. And I saw a .99 cent Essie nail polish. So I had to have it, it brings my total to 23 right now. I bet I’ll have 30 by December. I haven’t had a chance to wear it, but here’s the color:

Hello,

So what are your plans for the weekend? Any fun BBQ’s to go to or late night movie nights? I’m hosting a baby shower with the other bridesmaids at my house on Saturday for one of my good friends. On top of that my boyfriend is going out of town for 10 days, which will be the longest we’ve been apart. I’m glad we’ll have internet because we can Skype. Last summer, I went to Peru and didn’t get to call or Skype with him at all for 7 or 8 days. It was also at the beginning of our relationship, we had only been together for 3 months. This will still be hard, but it will be good after the week I’ve had it’ll be nice to stay home.

2 Timothy

So I’ve decided the next book of the bible, I’ll be reading through will be 2 Timothy. I haven’t decided how I want to read it, like the whole book everyday or one chapter everyday for a week, or something different. I’m not sure, but 2 Timothy is the next book. This bible study, I’m going to went through portions of 2 Timothy 3 today, and it really has me thinking about the way I’ve been treating my Christianity and my actions as a believer. So will you come along on this journey with me and read 2 Timothy with me. I’ll try to write up a plan of action in the next couple of days.

So one of my many makeup obsessions is nail polish. I don’t have a gigantic collection or anything (21 to be exact), but more than half of that has come from purchases, this year alone. So tonight, my sister and I went to walgreens to pick up the eos lip balm spheres (I know totally jumping on that band wagon, way to late) and we ran across this nail supply store. So we’re looking around and wondering if we’re even allowed to be in there, because it looks like a wholesale place, and sometimes those are exclusive. So we over here this guy, saying his sister buys all her nail polish from this place and our fears subside. So we go to the counter and find out that OPI sells for $5 and Essie sells for $3, and we are over the moon happy. I can’t believe I’ve been paying $9 for a bottle of OPI and around $8 for Essie. Mind you, I try to buy them when there only on sale, but even with buy two, get one free at Ulta, they are still more expensive then this place. So I bought two Essie colors (Dramatic Drachmas and Risky Business, pics below), I love Dramatic Drachmas, its an orange-y red, very nice for summer. I also picked small bottle of Seche Vite top coat and Orly Top2Bottom, which is a top coat and base coat. So we’ll see how long this lasts, I’m brutal to my nails at work. I also used from extra tips from August’s InStyle, if you haven’t gotten that you have to pick it up! So I just had to tell you all about more fabulous nail find! I hope you have a great week!

My Current Skincare Routine

So I wanted to kind of make this more of a beauty blog. So here’s a little about my skincare routine. I’m in the middle of transitioning to some new products, but this is my current routine as of today.
So this what I do in the morning…..
I cleanse with my SheerCover cleanser (which I’m replacing when I run out, which is soon), then I use Olay Total Effects Eye Transforming Cream, and Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Tone Correcting Moisturizer with SPF 30.

At night I cleanse with the Best Bath Store acne bar, use the same eye cream, and Pond’s clarant B3 dark spot correcting moisturizer for normal to oily skin.

When I have a blemish, I use Origins Spot Remover.

About once a week, I use the biore nose strips.

I also use Neutrogena Cleanser/Mask about twice to three times per week depending on if my acne is acting up or not. The great thing about the Neutrogena Cleanser/Mask is that I can put it on before a shower, since it doesn’t totally have to dry. I put it on right before I hop in the shower, I do my whole shower routine and then I rub it into my face like a cleanser and rinse it off.

This routine normally keeps my acne at bay, but I always seem to get one or two spots around that time of the month. So that’s always a bummer.

So that’s my skincare routine, as of now. I’ll be running out of a couple of products soon, so I’ll be switching it up. I always like to try new products.
